Harvesting Period (Red Rice)

The hot sun did not hinder the spirit of TLF students in harvesting red rice. They worked with each other to harvest nine rice fields during the day. This activity was delightful because this was the first experience for most students in harvesting rice. It was also a great time to learn how to harvest the rice properly. The harvest of this red rice was the work of our Advanced students who conducted the research on rice. During 200 days program, they were given the opportunity to analyse the steps of growth rice planting including its pests. Then they associated the field finding results to the farming theories that they have been learned. By the support of field facilitator, Advanced students are responsible to complete their proposal and presenting it as the requirement before graduation day.
